The Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club (OHL) along with Sovereign Communications are excited to be able to announce the extension of the existing radio partnership.
Previously today both organizations confirmed that Rock 101 radio stations (101.3FM) will remain the unique radio outlet for all 68 regular season, and playoff video games for Soo Greyhounds Hockey in a package extends through the 2014-2015 Ontario Hockey League season.
Sovereign Communications in the area owns five other station’s which include 99.5 YES FM, Region 105, Oldies 93.9, ESPN 1400 along with WSOO 1230.
Bill Gleich, president of Sovereign Communications, Rock 101’s parent company, explained: “Our first three years with the Greyhound Hockey organization has been absolutely terrific. I’m delighted that we’ll be partners for another three years. We like that they do business and look forward to a lengthy, mutually beneficial business relationship together. Rock 101 and all six of our own area rock radio stations are committed to raising the Greyhounds in every way we can.”
Greyhound followers can leave their radio stations dial tuned to Tips.3 FM or listen on the internet for all the live hockey action.

During this season, I have been capable of seeing firsthand how hard anyone at Sovereign Communications works to make sure our radio broadcasts are carried out at nothing less than a professional amount. It is with great pleasure we announce the continuation on this relationship for another three periods. “
Currently in his seventh season as the “Voice of the Hounds,” Gerry Liscumb Junior concluded with: “Over the course of days gone by three years, our relationship using Sovereign Communications has been a large advantage of our organization.
